Worker accommodation and apartments in Goslar

Goslar has around 50,000 residents and lies on the northern edge of the Harz. The former Rammelsberg mining town has become a metal and chemical region: H.C. Starck processes tungsten, Recylex and Harz-Metall run metal smelters, plus the Asklepios Harz hospitals and tourism in the old town. We arrange worker accommodation in Goslar for industrial fitters, metalworkers, electricians, plant builders and construction crews.

Location and access

Goslar lies on the A7 and A36 with a link via the A395 to Braunschweig, 45 minutes away. Salzgitter is 30 minutes away, Hildesheim 60, Göttingen 70 and Hanover 90 minutes. Rooms with parking are available in Oker, Jürgenohl, Vienenburg and in Bad Harzburg and Langelsheim.

Economy and construction sites

H.C. Starck produces tungsten powder and hard metals; in Oker and Langelsheim, Recylex and Albemarle operate smelters and chemical plants that run regular turnarounds. The Asklepios Harz hospitals are modernising, Sympatec develops measuring technology in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, plus dam refurbishment and road construction in the Harz.

Our tip for Goslar

Goslar is cheap, but during holidays and in winter it is well booked because of Harz tourism. For industrial assignments we recommend Oker, Vienenburg and Langelsheim away from the old town, where rooms with parking are available and considerably cheaper than in the centre.

Frequently asked questions about worker accommodation in Goslar

Are there rooms in Goslar for crews on turnarounds at the smelters in Oker?

Yes, we arrange rooms in Oker, Vienenburg and Langelsheim, 5 to 15 minutes from the plants. For turnarounds we offer shared rooms with kitchen, washing machine, drying room and parking for company vehicles and tool trailers.

Are rooms in Goslar scarce during the holiday season?

Yes, during the summer holidays, long weekends and the ski season the old town is taken by tourists. We therefore plan industrial assignments four to six weeks ahead where possible and move to Oker, Langelsheim and Seesen.
