Location and access
You reach the A23 via Itzehoe in ten minutes, and Itzehoe itself is six kilometres north. Kellinghusen is 15 kilometres north east, Glueckstadt 20 kilometres south west and Brunsbuettel 35 kilometres west.
Economy and construction sites
The cement works carries out annual kiln shutdowns during which refractory linings, mills and conveyors are overhauled. These are the largest assembly events locally and occupy extra specialists for several weeks. Further work comes from the Itzehoe semiconductor plant.
