Luetjenburg lies in the north east of the Ploen district near Hohwacht Bay and is the smallest of the larger places in the district. It is rural in character and away from the motorways.
Location and access
You reach the A21 via Ploen in 30 minutes, Kiel is 35 kilometres west, Ploen 20 kilometres south west and Oldenburg in Holstein 30 kilometres south east. There is no railway connection.
Economy and construction sites
Metal and timber firms work on the Luetjenburg commercial estate alongside suppliers to agriculture. Our guests' assignments almost always lead outwards: to Kiel for the shipyards and port or to the firms around Ploen and Oldenburg.

At 20 to 40 euros per person per night Luetjenburg is cheap, but supply is small and tighter in summer because of the closeness to Hohwacht Bay. Without your own vehicle the place is not practical.
